PHILOSOPHY

For us, everything starts with the Word.

We believe the Word of God is just as relevant today as it was 2000 years ago. So we look to the Word for direction in worship.

John 4:23-24 (NIV)23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

Our worship philosophy here at the GCV is based off this verse.

TIME

(Matthew 6:9-10)“…is coming (expectant) and has

now come (present)…” challenges us to reflect through our worship “What does

God have in store?” and “What is God doing now?”

SPIRIT

(John 14:15-17) We experience the HOLY SPIRIT

through our worship through unity and prayer (Acts 4:31), through Jesus Christ our Savior (Titus 3:6), and through each believer (1 Corinthians 12:7). We will be intentional to pray, point people to Jesus, welcome ALL people to worship through song with us

TRUTH

(John 14:6)Our God is creative (Genesis 1:1ff), awesome (Psalm 47:2), and perfect (2 Corinthians 5:21ff) SO our atmosphere, services, and talent should reflect as much!
